Job summary

Enable Ireland in Dublin is seeking an Adult Services Support Worker to join the team in Dublin Adult Services CHO7 area Crumlin/Rialto. The role supports adults with disabilities through person-centred planning, training, employment and community inclusion.

Contract is permanent part-time (35 hours per week) with a salary scale of €35,070 to €42,440 pro rata and typical benefits. Fluency in English, QQI Level 5 Major Award and driving licence required, with Garda vetting and reference checks.

Qualifications

• QQI Level 5 Major Award in Social Care, Disability, Care skills or related health area.
• Experience delivering personal care in health or social care is preferred.
• Strong communication and teamwork skills.

Responsibilities

• Support individuals with disabilities to participate in activities and programmes.
• Work through a person-centred approach in line with policies and procedures.
• Promote dignity, respect, and independence for service users.

We are currently seeking a highly-motivated Adult Services Support Worker to join our team in Dublin Adult Services CHO7 Area Crumlin/Rialto

Contract Type: Permanent Part Time

Contract Hours: 35 hours per week

Salary Scale:

The current salary scale for this post is €35,070 to €42,440 pro rata per annum for fulltime posts of 39 hours per week. The hourly rate ranges from €17.29/h to €20.92 p/h

This pay scale is subject to increases in 2026 in accordance with the recent WRC agreement towards enhanced pay adjustments in Section 39 organisations

Annual Leave Entitlement: 30 days pro rata per annum and proportionately less for less than 12 months service.

• To provide opportunities for people with disabilities to develop a range of options in the areas of training, employment and greater inclusion in the community generally.
• Supporting individual service users to participate in the various programmes and activities within the service.
• Working through a Person-Centred approach and in line with Enable Ireland’s code of practice, policies & procedures.

The successful candidate will have

• Minimum qualification QQI Level 5 Major Award (8 modules) in Social Care/Disability/Care skills or relevant heath related area.(Individuals with 2 modules completed will be eligible to apply once commitment given to complete the remainder of the major award within 12 months of start date).
• The Post holder will have previous experience of working with adults with disabilities in the health care sector.
• Fluency in English
• Candidates must have current eligibility work in the state
• Available for immediate start
• Full clean driving licence which is valid in the state with agreement to undertake D1 driver training if required. Ability to drive both automatic and manual vehicles is essential.

• Specific requirements relating to working with individuals e.g. previous experience of working with individuals with Physical Disabilities/Acquired Brain Injury/Epilepsy and/or behaviours of concern.
• Holder of CPC Driver card
• Minimum of 1 year experience of delivering personal care in a health or social care context
• Experience in clamping wheelchairs.
