The Role

We are seeking an experienced and passionate Trainer to deliver academy‑based training and support participants in Hospitality and Tourism, Health and Social Care, and the Green Economy sectors.

Key Responsibilities

1. Conduct thorough participant inductions and suitability assessments to support tailored learning and development.
2. Collaborate with participants and Employment Liaison Officers to co‑design and review personalised development plans and milestone stages.
3. Develop and deliver academy‑based training programmes aligned with current labour‑market needs.
4. Design, develop, and deliver accredited skills‑based employability training academies, creating comprehensive schemes of work and detailed lesson plans.
5. Ensure academy delivery aligns with employer requirements and job entry criteria by engaging with strategic partners.
6. Adhere to the operating procedures and policies of awarding bodies, including internal and external verification requirements.
7. Deliver Equality, Diversity, and Inclusion training to strengthen inclusive environments.
8. Demonstrate proficiency in delivering training using multimedia tools, technologies, and equipment.
9. Support monitoring and evaluation by capturing participant progress, maintaining attendance records, and documenting outcomes for reporting.

Required Criteria

• Full current driving licence and access to a car (alternatives considered where possible).
• Leaving Certificate in English and Maths or equivalent.
• Minimum of 1 year paid experience in direct provision training.
• Experience delivering training in Customer Service, Catering & Hospitality, Employability, or Health and Social Care.
• Minimum 1 year paid experience delivering accredited programmes to children or young people, adults with barriers to learning, or participants with learning disabilities/difficulties.
• Proven experience working with awarding bodies.
• Experience of assessment and moderation.
• Proficient in the Microsoft Office suite.

Desired Criteria

• Hold Internal verifier or moderator qualifications.
