Job summary

LIR CHOCOLATES LTD. seeks an experienced Trainer to join the Human Resources team in Navan. The role delivers, assesses and evaluates training programmes across the business to ensure staff have the skills and knowledge to perform effectively while maintaining compliance standards.

The position requires experience in manufacturing training, strong communication skills, and proficiency with LMS and Office tools. 37.5 hours weekly, permanent contract based in Navan, Co. Meath, Ireland.

Qualifications

  • Experience in training within a manufacturing setting.
  • Strong knowledge of food manufacturing processes including food safety and allergen awareness.
  • Excellent communication, organisational and interpersonal skills.
  • Ability to manage multiple priorities with strong attention to detail.
  • Proficient in Microsoft Office tools and LMS usage.
  • Experience developing training content and inductions.

Responsibilities

  • Deliver training programmes including Food Safety, Allergen Awareness and Diversity topics.
  • Assess and validate employee learning and competence in operational roles.
  • Conduct learning needs analysis and develop learning solutions.
  • Support compliance training requirements across the business.
  • Maintain and administer the LMS, ensuring content is current and assigned.
  • Coordinate mandatory training for new employees and verify competence on time.
  • Develop training materials with subject matter experts for compliance programmes.
  • Write and update SOPs and One Point Lessons (OPLs).
  • Maintain training records and support key L&D KPIs.
  • Research and implement innovative training methods and engagement initiatives.

Lir Chocolates is seeking an experienced Trainer to join our Human Resources team based in Navan. The successful candidate will be responsible for the delivery, assessment and evaluation of training programmes across the business, ensuring employees have the skills, knowledge and competence required to perform effectively in their roles while maintaining compliance standards

Location: Lir Chocolates, Navan, Co. Meath, Ireland Salary: €39,102.04 per annum Hours: 37.5 hours per week, Monday to Friday, 08:30 to 16:30 Contract Type: Full-time, Permanent

Responsibilities
  • Deliver training programmes including Food Safety, Allergen Awareness, Equality & Diversity, Integrity and other business-critical topics.
  • Assess and validate employee learning and competence within operational roles.
  • Conduct learning needs analysis and develop effective learning solutions.
  • Support and maintain compliance training requirements across the business.
  • Manage and maintain the Learning Management System (LMS), ensuring training content is accurate, current and appropriately assigned.
  • Coordinate mandatory training for new employees and ensure competence is verified within required timeframes.
  • Partner with subject matter experts to develop training materials and mandatory compliance programmes.
  • Write, review and amend Standard Operating Procedures (SOPs) and One Point Lessons (OPLs).
  • Maintain training records and support achievement of key learning and development KPIs.
  • Research and implement innovative training methods and employee engagement initiatives.
Requirements
  • Experience working in a training role within a manufacturing environment.
  • Strong knowledge of food manufacturing processes such as food safety and allergen awareness.
  • Excellent communication, organisational and interpersonal skills.
  • Strong attention to detail and ability to manage multiple priorities.
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Excel, PowerPoint and Word.
  • Maths and English qualification equivalent to GCSE level or higher.
  • Proven ability to manage multiple projects and tasks effectively.
  • Professional Trainer qualification or certification or equivalent experience.
  • Experience managing a Learning Management System (LMS).
  • Experience developing training content and learning programmes including new starter inductions and compliance training.
