Job summary

GPC Finance is seeking a Trainee Bookkeeper / Junior Practice Accountant to join a long-established Chartered Accountancy practice in North Dublin. The role is ideal for someone who has completed the Accounting Technician qualification or is studying ATI and wants a long-term career in practice.

The position offers full study support, ongoing training and mentorship, and exposure to a broad client base across industries within a supportive team.

Qualifications

• Accounting Technician qualification completed, or currently studying towards ATI.
• Previous bookkeeping or accounts administration experience, ideally within practice.
• Strong attention to detail and excellent organisational skills.
• Good working knowledge of accounting software and Microsoft Excel.
• Ability to work effectively in a team environment and manage multiple deadlines.
• Eagerness to learn and develop a long-term career in accountancy practice.

Responsibilities

• Maintaining client bookkeeping records, including bank reconciliations, debtor and creditor management.
• Preparing VAT, PAYE and Revenue compliance submissions.
• Assisting with the preparation of management accounts and year-end financial statements for audit-exempt clients.
• Supporting senior team members with client queries and day-to-day accounting requirements.
