Job summary

Celtic Careers is recruiting a Trade Counter Sales Representative for an established construction supply business in Ireland. The role focuses on handling trade customer enquiries, building relationships and driving sales.

Ideal candidates will have experience in internal or trade counter sales within construction hire or supply, with strong communication and negotiation skills. Excellent pension, health plan and life insurance are offered as part of the package.

Qualifications

• Experience in internal sales, trade counter sales or a similar customer-facing commercial role.
• Ideally, a background in construction hire, builders' merchants or construction product supply.
• Knowledge of construction materials, equipment or associated products.
• Strong communication and negotiation skills.
• A proactive, commercially minded approach with the ability to develop customer relationships and win business.

Responsibilities

• Managing incoming sales enquiries via telephone, email and face-to-face.
• Building and developing relationships with existing trade customers.
• Identifying and winning new business opportunities.
• Preparing, issuing and following up on customer quotations.
• Promoting a range of construction products and hire and sales solutions.
• Working towards sales targets and KPIs.
• Maintaining accurate customer records and sales administration.
