Job summary

WSP is seeking Engineering Managers to lead the technical delivery of rail engineering projects in Ireland, with potential opportunities in GB and overseas. You will oversee multi-disciplinary teams, manage client relationships, and promote health and safety on site, while shaping project outcomes across the island of Ireland.

Qualifications

• Track record delivering multi-disciplinary rail projects as Engineering Manager or Design/Assistant Manager.
• Experience with rail design fields: track/civil, electrification/power, signalling/telecom.
• Strong knowledge of health and safety regs (Irish Construction Regs) and safe-by-design.
• Chartered or incorporated registration or working towards.
• Ability to manage multiple workstreams and teams with strong stakeholder management.
• Understanding of client engineering assurance processes.

Responsibilities

• Lead, direct, and coordinate multi-disciplinary technical teams.
• Manage client and stakeholder relationships.
• Set example for health, safety and welfare on projects.
• Lead development and management of client requirements and assurance outputs.
• Lead design coordination activities and promote digitalisation.
• Work with Project and Design Managers to ensure technical delivery.
• Provide guidance, support, and mentorship to aspiring engineering managers.
