Premium Beauty News is seeking a toxicology expert to ensure the safety of cosmetic ingredients and finished products, guiding development to market readiness.

You will review materials, prepare safety reports, and contribute to product safety initiatives while applying EU regulatory guidance and robust toxicology data interpretation.

Qualifications

• Degree in Toxicology, Pharmacology or another relevant scientific discipline.
• Experience interpreting toxicological data and preparing chemical safety profiles.
• Knowledge of EU Cosmetics Regulation and related safety guidance.
• Strong attention to detail and good organisational and communication skills.

Responsabilités

• Perform safety assessments of cosmetic ingredients and finished products.
• Provide proactive safety guidance throughout the new product development process.
• Review and approve raw materials against safety, policy and regulatory requirements.
• Prepare Cosmetic Product Safety Reports in line with Product Information File requirements.
• Carry out ingredient risk and exposure assessments, sourcing relevant toxicity data.
• Review safety testing results across different cosmetic product types.
• Support causality assessments relating to undesirable product effects.
• Contribute to wider product safety initiatives and deliver tasks to agreed deadlines.

Key Responsibilities:

Candidate Requirements:

• Good knowledge of EU Cosmetics Regulation, cosmetic safety assessment and relevant guidance
• Excellent attention to detail, with strong organisational and communication skills
