Job summary

Exponent is seeking an Ecotoxicologist to join our Chemical Regulation and Food Safety Practice. The role involves conducting environmental risk assessments for plant protection products under EU law, advising clients on ecotoxicology issues, and delivering high-quality scientific outputs across multidisciplinary teams.

Based in Ireland (Dublin) with potential homeworking options, the position offers exposure to multiple international offices and regulatory contexts.

Qualifications

MSc degree in a relevant discipline.
Experience completing environmental risk assessments under EU legislation.
Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
Accuracy and attention to detail.
Strong teamwork abilities.
Sound judgement and decision-making ability.
Good numeracy skills.

Responsibilities

Conduct environmental risk assessments for plant protection products under EU regulations.
Advise clients on ecotoxicology and environmental risk assessment issues.
Summarise and interpret study reports and literature; draw regulatory conclusions.
Perform data gap analysis, develop testing strategies and monitor ecotoxicology studies.
Provide inputs to multi-disciplinary project teams and contribute to high-quality outputs.
