Job summary

Hall Recruitment is seeking an experienced Senior Payroll Administrator / Payroll Specialist for a two-month temporary assignment in Dublin 22. You’ll be the only full-time member of the payroll team during the assignment, owning day-to-day Irish and UK payroll processing and becoming productive quickly.

Responsibilities include processing weekly Irish payroll and monthly UK payroll, handling starters/leavers, timesheets, RPNs, payroll queries, and audits.

Qualifications

  • At least 2 years hands-on Irish payroll experience.
  • UK payroll experience highly desirable.
  • Experience with payroll/accounting systems.
  • Excellent numerical accuracy and attention to detail.
  • Strong organisational and time-management skills.
  • Ability to work independently and take responsibility.
  • Understanding of GDPR and handling sensitive employee information.
  • SAGE Micropay experience would be an advantage.
  • IPASS or related payroll/finance qualification beneficial but isn't essential.

  • Respond to employee payroll queries.
  • Assist with payroll reports and gender pay gap data.
  • Maintain accurate payroll documentation.
  • Provide documentation for audits.
  • Ensure confidential employee and payroll data is handled appropriately.

Job description

Temporary Senior Payroll Administrator – Irish & UK Payroll

Hall Recruitment is seeking an experienced Senior Payroll Administrator / Payroll Specialist for a two-month temporary assignment with our client in Dublin 22.

You’ll join a small payroll function during a period of employee leave and will be the only full-time member of the payroll team during the assignment. You’ll therefore need to be confident taking ownership of day-to-day payroll requirements and able to become productive quickly.

There is potential for the assignment to be extended.

What You’ll Be Doing

Your primary responsibility will be the accurate and timely processing of weekly Irish payroll and monthly UK payroll.

You’ll also:

  • Process new starters, leavers and contract changes
  • Maintain payroll, time, attendance and benefits records
  • Process Revenue Payroll Notifications (RPNs)

Essential – Irish Payroll Experience

You must have at least 2 years' hands-on experience processing payroll in Ireland.

This is an essential requirement. General accounts/finance experience or payroll experience solely from jurisdictions outside Ireland will not be sufficient for this assignment.

UK Payroll Experience

Previous UK payroll experience is highly desirable, as you’ll also be supporting the organisation’s monthly UK payroll.

  • Experience with payroll/accounting systems
  • Excellent numerical accuracy and attention to detail
  • Strong organisational and time-management skills
  • Confidence working independently and taking responsibility
  • Understanding of GDPR and sensitive employee information
  • Strong written and verbal communication skills
  • SAGE Micropay experience would be an advantage
  • IPASS or a related payroll/finance qualification would be beneficial but isn't essential
Hours
  • Monday–Thursday: 8:00am–4:30pm
  • Friday: 8:00am–1:00pm
Pay & Completion Bonus

€22.13 per hour

You’ll also receive a €2,000 completion bonus upon successful completion of the full two-month assignment.

There is potential for the assignment to be extended depending on business requirements.
