Job summary

Coimisiún na Meán is Ireland’s independent media regulator, seeking a Temporary Executive Officer - Media Development (Funding) to support the Funding Team within the Media Landscape Division. The role focuses on administering funding schemes, processing contracts and payments, and delivering data-driven insights to improve public interest journalism.

Qualifications

  • Strong verbal and written communication skills, including report writing and stakeholder engagement.
  • Excellent organisational skills and attention to detail.
  • Ability to interpret complex information.
  • Proficiency with IT and willingness to learn new IT systems.
  • Strong clerical and administrative experience.
  • Ability to prioritise and work across several projects.

Responsibilities

  • Support the delivery of journalism funding schemes, including assessing grant recipient contract deliverables and processing funding contracts.
  • Administer monthly grant payment runs and maintain accurate funding records.
  • Analyse scheme data and performance metrics and prepare presentations on findings.
  • Engage with stakeholders regarding complex contracting queries.
  • Provide oversight and day-to-day support to Clerical Officers.
