Job summary

ESB Networks is seeking an experienced Telecoms professional to join the WAN Program Delivery Team. You will deliver and own advanced telecom technologies, including MPLS‑TP, IP and Optical networks, across Ireland’s private telecoms infrastructure.

You will coordinate with field engineers, support project delivery, and ensure safety and quality in all activities. A driving licence and ability to travel to sites is essential.

Qualifications

• Minimum 3 years of relevant experience.
• Degree or equivalent in Engineering/Telecommunications or related field.
• Hands-on knowledge of IP and Optical networking gear.
• Experience with routing protocols (OSPF/IS-IS/BGP).
• Ability to work safely in field environments including HV substations.

Responsibilities

• Commission, configure, and maintain IP and Optical networks.
• Diagnose faults and perform root-cause analysis.
• Apply safety, quality and performance standards.
• Collaborate with field engineers and manage migrations.
• Prepare technical specs, design packages and proposals.
• Maintain as-built records and documentation.
