Job summary

E‑Frontiers is seeking two experienced Technical Writers to support a major IT transition programme in Dublin. You will capture specialist knowledge and translate complex information into clear documentation, including runbooks and SOPs, to support long-term service stability.

You will work closely with developers, architects and project managers to ensure documentation is accurate, accessible and well-structured for maintenance and handover to the support function.

Qualifications

• Minimum of five years' experience in technical writing within IT or software engineering environments.
• Experience producing runbooks, SOPs and API documentation.
• Strong written communication and stakeholder engagement skills.
• Ability to translate complex technical information for technical and non-technical audiences.

Responsibilities

• Develop and maintain technical documentation including maintenance runbooks, SOPs, incident response playbooks and support manuals.
• Conduct interviews and workshops with SMEs to capture system knowledge, identify gaps and address knowledge-transfer risks.
• Document system architectures, integrations, APIs and operational processes to support maintenance and troubleshooting.
• Manage and maintain a centralised documentation repository using Azure DevOps, ensuring version control and accessibility.
• Collaborate with developers, technical leads, architects and project managers to ensure documentation is accurate and complete.
• Develop user guides, integration documentation and training materials for technical and business stakeholders.
• Establish and maintain consistent documentation standards, templates and QA processes.
