Job summary

Ashgrove is seeking an experienced Technical Team Leader to oversee development of home energy upgrade solutions across insulation, ventilation, heat pumps and solar PV. You will ensure technical accuracy, SEAI compliance, and lead the Technical Sales Team to deliver high-quality proposals.

We value strong technical knowledge of BERs, SEAI grants and renewable technologies, with a focus on team performance, process improvement and exceptional communication with homeowners and colleagues.

Qualifications

Responsibilities

• Lead the preparation and issue of home energy upgrade proposals, ensuring technical accuracy and SEAI compliance.
• Manage team workloads, priorities and bottlenecks to ensure timely proposals.
• Review technical assessments across insulation, ventilation, heat pumps, solar PV, etc.
• Handle post-sale technical inquiries and drive improvements from feedback.
• Lead and support the Technical Sales Team through direction, coaching and training.

Job description

Ashgrove is looking for an experienced technical team leader to oversee the development of home energy upgrade solutions across insulation, ventilation, heat pumps, solar PV and related technologies. The role will ensure that recommendations and proposals are technically accurate, appropriate for each property and compliant with SEAI grant requirements, while leading and supporting the Technical Sales Team.

Main Duties and Responsibilities:

Lead the preparation and issue of home energy upgrade proposals, ensuring they are delivered promptly, technically accurate and compliant with SEAI grant requirements.

Manage team workloads, priorities and bottlenecks to maintain efficient proposal turnaround times.

Review technical assessments and recommendations across insulation, ventilation, heat pumps, solar PV and related measures.

Manage post-sale technical enquiries, resolving issues promptly and using feedback to improve proposals, guidance and internal processes.

Lead and support the Technical Sales Team through clear direction, performance monitoring, coaching and training.

People Management

Manage day-to-day people matters, including attendance, timekeeping, annual leave and team cover.

Provide regular feedback, contribute to formal reviews and flag performance or conduct concerns early.

Act as the first point of contact for routine HR matters, escalating more complex issues to the Manager or HR.

Support the onboarding, training and development of team members.

Implement relevant HR policies, maintain appropriate records and keep management informed of emerging people-related issues.

Requirements

• Strong technical knowledge of Domestic BERs, SEAI grant requirements, renewable technologies and building performance.
  
• Previous experience in technical sales, team leadership or a similar customer-focused technical role.
  
• Excellent communication skills, with the ability to explain complex technical information clearly to colleagues and homeowners.
  
• Strong organisational and analytical skills, with the ability to manage workloads, priorities and performance across a busy team.
  
• Confident using CRM, reporting and workflow systems, with a practical approach to problem-solving and process improvement.
