A leading global aviation investment and asset management platform is seeking an experienced Technical Manager to join its Dublin office. This position plays a key role in managing commercial aircraft assets, supporting transactions, overseeing lease transitions, and protecting asset value throughout the aircraft lifecycle.
Key Responsibilities
- Manage a portfolio of leased aircraft, ensuring compliance with technical lease obligations.
- Provide technical oversight of parked, stored, and off-lease aircraft.
- Support aircraft acquisition, sale, and disposal transactions from a technical perspective.
- Review and audit aircraft and engine records for acquisitions, sales, purchases, and transitions, ensuring accuracy and completeness.
- Audit life-limited part traceability from birth to current status across aircraft and engine assets.
- Manage aircraft acceptance, lease delivery, and redelivery processes in collaboration with customers and OEMs.
- Coordinate inspection schedules and technical monitoring activities for leased assets.
- Ensure aircraft records remain current and support component forecasting activities.
- Conduct operational due diligence audits and undertake customer visits as required.
- Review shop visit documentation and technical records, identifying and communicating any findings.
- Maintain strong relationships with operators and support technical discussions when required.
- Manage maintenance reserve databases and assess maintenance reserve claims.
- Monitor industry developments and regulatory requirements, including FAA and EASA guidance.
- Prepare and issue technical reports to customers and internal stakeholders.
Requirements
- Licensed Aircraft Engineer qualification or another relevant aviation technical qualification.
- Minimum of 8 years' experience within the aircraft leasing sector.
- Strong technical asset management experience gained within aircraft leasing, asset management, technical consultancy, or a similar environment.
- Detailed understanding of airworthiness requirements, maintenance programmes, and regulatory compliance.
- Experience supporting aircraft deliveries, redeliveries, and lease transitions.
- Strong knowledge of aircraft maintenance records and record-keeping principles.
- Familiarity with FAA and EASA certification and regulatory requirements.
- Excellent analytical and problem-solving skills with strong attention to detail.
