Job summary

Vickerstock is recruiting a Technical Manager (Maternity Cover) for a well-established food manufacturing business in the Dublin area. You will own site food safety, quality systems and regulatory compliance to maintain the highest standards across the operation.

The role requires leadership of audits, CAPA, traceability and technical documentation, with close collaboration to Production and Operations to ensure product safety and legality.

Qualifications

• Experience managing Technical/Quality teams in food manufacturing.
• Strong knowledge of HACCP, BRCGS and food safety regulations.
• Proven ability to lead audits, investigations and CAPA.
• Ability to work cross-functionally in a fast-paced production environment.

Responsibilities

• Manage and maintain the site's Food Safety and Quality Management Systems.

Vickerstock are currently recruiting for a Technical Manager on behalf of a well-established food manufacturing business. This is an excellent opportunity for an experienced Technical or Quality professional to take ownership of site food safety, quality systems and regulatory compliance, ensuring the highest standards are maintained across the operation.

The Role

• Manage and maintain the site's Food Safety and Quality Management Systems.
• Ensure compliance with food safety legislation, BRCGS, Bord Bia and customer standards.
• Lead customer, regulatory, certification and internal audits.
• Maintain HACCP plans, risk assessments, policies and technical documentation.
• Manage non-conformances, investigations and corrective and preventative actions (CAPA).
• Oversee supplier approval, raw material compliance, specifications and certification records.
• Support investigations into customer complaints and quality incidents.
• Drive continuous improvement across technical, food safety and quality processes.
• Promote a strong food safety culture through training and guidance for employees.
• Work closely with Production, Operations and other departments to maintain product safety, quality, legality and authenticity.
• Maintain effective traceability, product recall and document control systems.
• Ensure appropriate action is taken where food safety, legality or quality risks are identified.

About You

• Previous management experience in a Technical, Quality or Food Safety role within food manufacturing.
• Strong knowledge of HACCP, BRCGS, food safety legislation and quality management systems.
• Experience managing audits, non-conformances and corrective actions.
• Knowledge of supplier approval, traceability and technical documentation.
• Ability to work cross-functionally and maintain high standards in a fast-paced manufacturing environment.
