We are seeking an experienced Technical Lead to join a growing technology team in Galway. This is a hands‑on leadership opportunity for an experienced software engineer who enjoys combining technical delivery with people leadership, mentoring and team development.

You will lead a team of software engineers working on modern, cloud‑based SaaS products, while remaining closely involved in technical direction, architecture and engineering best practice.

The Role

• Lead, mentor and develop a team of software engineers, building a collaborative and high-performing engineering culture.
• Remain hands‑on technically while providing guidance throughout the software development lifecycle.
• Work closely with Product, UX and Engineering stakeholders to plan, prioritise and deliver technical initiatives.
• Contribute to the design and delivery of scalable, secure and maintainable software solutions.
• Drive engineering standards across code quality, code reviews, automated testing and continuous improvement.
• Support engineers with technical challenges and remove blockers impacting delivery.
• Contribute to recruitment, onboarding, performance management and career development.
• Collaborate with other engineering teams to maintain consistent technical standards and approaches.

Experience:

• Previous experience leading or mentoring a software engineering team within an Agile environment.
• Strong hands‑on software engineering background.
• Strong commercial experience with .NET and React / React Native or closely related technologies.
• Strong cloud experience across Azure and AWS.
• Experience developing and delivering cloud‑based SaaS applications.
• Strong understanding of software architecture, scalable application design and modern engineering practices.
• Experience with code reviews, testing and modern software development methodologies.
