Job summary

Spencer Marshall is seeking a Technical Facilities Manager to lead day-to-day hard and soft services across a multi-site client portfolio. The role focuses on maintaining critical building infrastructure, reducing downtime, and delivering high-quality facilities management.

You will oversee internal teams and external providers, drive incident investigations, and ensure compliance with change management and SOPs while maintaining risk registers and budgets.

Qualifications

• Technical FM experience in managing facilities and services.
• Broad knowledge of critical building infrastructure.
• Experience handling hard and soft services across a large portfolio.
• Ability to develop strong client, stakeholder and customer relationships.
• Strong financial acumen with experience managing large OPEX/CAPEX budgets.
• Proven leadership and influencing capabilities at all levels.
• Proven problem solving and project management experience.

Responsibilities

• Accountable for day-to-day management of all hard and soft services across a multi-site client portfolio.
• Ensure effective management of critical business infrastructure with focus on minimising downtime and risk.
• Provide operational leadership and oversight of internal teams and external service providers.
• Demonstrate leadership by fostering collaboration and clearly articulating strategies and objectives.
• Provide cross-regional operational support for facilities management across locations as required.
• Manage and maintain the CMMS and oversee reporting and budgets.
• Ensure compliance with client change management processes, including maintenance activities, MOPs and SOPs.
• Lead incident investigations and drive corrective actions.
• Support audit and compliance activities and address non-conformances.

As a Technical Facilities Manager , some of the key responsibilities are as follows :

• Accountable for the day-to-day management of all hard and soft services across a multi site client portfolio.
• Ensure effective management of Critical Business Infrastructure , with a focus on minimising downtime, identifying risks, and implementing mitigation strategies.
• Provide operational leadership and oversight of both internal teams and external service providers, ensuring effective service delivery.
• Demonstrate visible leadership by fostering collaboration, supporting team members, and clearly articulating operational strategies and objectives.
• Provide cross-regional operational support and coverage for Facilities Management across additional locations as required.
• Manage and maintain the Computerised Maintenance Management System
• Manage financial administration and reporting
• Ensure team compliance with client change management processes, including maintenance activities, MOPs and SOPs.
• Lead incident investigations, including accidents, incidents, and near-misses, establishing root causes and implementing corrective and preventative actions.
• Support audit and compliance activities by attending inspections, addressing non-conformances, and managing corrective action plans arising from maintenance, inspections, surveys, and reports.
• Maintain and regularly update both client and internal operational risk registers.
• Responsible for the management and oversight of conferencing and event operations across client site(s) and associated locations.

Person Specification

• Technical FM experience ,
• Broad knowledge and experience managing critical building infrastructure.
• Experience managing a variety of Hard & Soft Services across a sizeable portfolio
• Experience in developing strong client, stakeholder & customer relationships.
• Excellent financial acumen & must have experience managing large client OPEX / CAPEX budgets.
• Strong leadership and influencing capabilities at all levels.
• Proven problem solving and project management experience.
