Job summary

Design Build Search is expanding its Dublin- headquartered team to appoint a Technical Designer with extensive Revit experience and a strong background in refurb/fit-out projects. The role involves coordinating with consultants and internal teams, producing construction-ready documents, and guiding junior designers during project delivery.

The position requires travel to site meetings and client visits across multiple counties, reflecting a dynamic client-facing environment in a global interior

Qualifications

• Degree in Architecture or Interior Design.
• 10 years of interior design experience.
• Experience in architecture or design with a focus on workplace technical design.
• Expertise in commercial interior design projects.
• Proficiency in Autodesk Revit and BIM Level 2.
• Excellent communication and stakeholder management skills.
• Mentoring and collaboration mindset.

Responsibilities

• Organize design deliverables, lead the production of detailed construction documents, and coordinate with consultants and internal teams to ensure seamless project execution.
• Prepare comprehensive design documentation including drawing, technical details and schedules using Revit, delivering construction-ready outputs with precision and accuracy
• Involved in all project’s phases from start of project to handover
• Responsible for managing materials and coordination on projects
• Weekly reviews and meetings with supplies and sub-contractors
• Attend site meetings and have solutions for any challenges that might arise
• Provide technical advice and ensure the accuracy of information delivered to construction teams.
• Leading the sequencing of design information into clear, comprehensive packages.
• Providing mentorship and leadership to junior designers in the production of construction documents

Design Build Search are working with a global interior and fit-out company. Due to growth in Ireland, they have an opportunity for a Technical Designer. This position would be ideal for someone with extensive Revit experience and refurb/fit-out project experience. This position is based in our clients Dublin HQ. However, travel to sites for progress meetings, client visit will be required. Project locations in different counties.

Projects:

Minimum:

• Degree in Architecture or Interior Design
• 10 years of experience in interior design
• Previous experience in architecture or design, with a focus on workplace technical design.
• Demonstrated expertise in commercial interior design projects.
• Proficiency in Autodesk Revit and advanced knowledge of BIM up to Level 2.
• Excellent communication and stakeholder management skills.
• A proactive attitude, emotional intelligence, and enthusiasm for mentoring and collaboration.
• Accreditation in LEED, NCARB, NCIDQ
