Our client is a leading development company and they are seeking an experienced, highly motivated Senior Architectural Technologist / Design Manager to join their team in Navan, Co. Meath.
This key dual-function role offers an exceptional opportunity to take a leading position in managing project delivery from inception through construction to final handover. You will oversee technical design, lead interdisciplinary coordination, and manage project schedules across a diverse and expanding portfolio of commercial, industrial and residential developments.
Key Responsibilities
Technical Design & Coordination
- Lead the production, review, and issue of detailed architectural drawings, technical specifications, and construction packages.
- Ensure all technical details comply strictly with Irish and UK Building Regulations, Technical Guidance Documents (TGDs), and planning requirements.
- Coordinate interdisciplinary teams (structural, M&E, civil, and specialist consultants) to ensure seamless integration of technical information.
- Act as the primary technical point of contact during the construction phase, managing RFIs, submittals, and site inspections.
Project Management & Delivery
- Oversee site activities, contractor performance, and quality control to ensure projects are delivered on time, within scope, and to exact design standards.
- Develop and manage comprehensive project schedules using Microsoft Project, tracking milestones and critical paths.
- Chair regular progress meetings with clients, site teams, and external stakeholders.
- Oversee BCAR (Building Control Amendment Regulations) compliance, documentation, and certification processes.
Key Requirements & Qualifications
- Education: Degree or Higher Diploma in Architectural Technology (or equivalent professional qualification).
- Experience: 10+ years of proven experience in technical design and project management within the Irish or UK construction sectors.
Technical Proficiency
- Advanced command of AutoCAD.
- Strong expertise in Microsoft Office Suite, specifically MS Excel and MS Project (BIM/Revit experience is an advantage).
- Regulatory Knowledge: In-depth working knowledge of Irish and UK Building Regulations, planning processes, and BCAR procedures.
- Exceptional technical detailing, problem-solving, and analytical skills.
- Strong leadership and communication abilities, with confidence managing site teams and client relationships.
- High level of commercial awareness, time management, and organizational skill.
- Licensing & Eligibility: Full clean driving license and existing eligibility to work full-time in Ireland.
