Job summary

Design Build Search is seeking a Technical Designer in Ireland to join our Dublin HQ. The role requires extensive Revit experience and a background in refurb/fit-out projects across office, pharma, and data centre environments.

Travel to sites for progress meetings and client visits is expected as projects span multiple counties. You will organize design deliverables, produce construction documents, and coordinate with consultants and internal teams to ensure accurate, timely outputs.

Qualifications

• Degree in Architecture or Interior Design with substantial interior design experience.
• Extensive Revit experience and refurb/fit-out project background.
• Experience in workplace technical design and commercial interior projects.

Responsibilities

• Organize design deliverables and lead production of detailed construction documents.
• Coordinate with consultants and internal teams to ensure seamless project execution.
• Prepare design documentation including drawings, details and schedules using Revit.
• Attend site meetings and provide solutions; mentor junior designers.
• Lead sequencing of design information into clear, comprehensive packages.

Design Build Search are working with a global interior and fit-out company. Due to growth in Ireland, they have an opportunity for a Technical Designer. This position would be ideal for someone with extensive Revit experience and refurb/fit-out project experience. This position is based in our clients Dublin HQ. However, travel to sites for progress meetings, client visit will be required. Project locations in different counties. Projects: Office Fit-out. Pharma Fit-out, Data centre Fit-out Minimum: Degree in Architecture or Interior Design 10 years of experience in interior design Previous experience in architecture or design, with a focus on workplace technical design. Demonstrated expertise in commercial interior design projects. Proficiency in Autodesk Revit and advanced knowledge of BIM up to Level 2. Excellent communication and stakeholder management skills. A proactive attitude, emotional intelligence, and enthusiasm for mentoring and collaboration. Accreditation in LEED, NCARB, NCIDQ Responsibilities include: Organize design deliverables, lead the production of detailed construction documents, and coordinate with consultants and internal teams to ensure seamless project execution. Prepare comprehensive design documentation including drawing, technical details and schedulesusing Revit, delivering construction-ready outputs with precision and accuracy Involved in all projects phases from start of project to handover Responsible for managing materials and coordination on projects Weekly reviews and meetings with supplies and sub-contractors Attend site meetings and have solutions for any challenges that might arise Provide technical advice and ensure the accuracy of information delivered to construction teams.
