Qualifications

• Extensive experience as Technical Analyst/Business Analyst in Investment Banking or Capital Markets.
• Deep knowledge of transaction reporting regulations (MiFID II/MiFIR, EMIR, SFTR).
• Solid understanding of Derivatives, Equities, Fixed Income and FX.

Responsibilities

• Lead regulatory regimes and translate requirements into functional and technical solutions.
• Collaborate with Front Office, Operations, Compliance, QA and Development to implement regulatory changes.
• Drive delivery with analysts, developers, and vendors to ensure project success.
• Perform data analysis, validation and root-cause investigations for reporting issues.

Job Title: Technical Analyst - VP (Contract)

Our client, a leading organisation in the financial services industry, is seeking a dynamic Technical Analyst - VP to join their team on a contract basis. This is an exciting opportunity to play a pivotal role in shaping trade and transaction reporting across multiple regulatory frameworks!

Key Responsibilities:

• Lead the charge on regulatory regimes, including MiFID II/MiFIR, EMIR and SFTR.
• Gather and analyse business and regulatory requirements, translating them into actionable functional and technical solutions.
• Drive delivery with analysts, developers, engineers and third-party vendors to ensure seamless project execution.
• Conduct detailed data analysis, validation and root-cause investigations for reporting issues.
• Collaborate closely with Front Office, Operations, Compliance, QA and Development teams to implement regulatory changes effectively.
• Support the design, testing, implementation and enhancement of reporting platforms.
• Maintain comprehensive documentation, data flows, Jira backlogs and Confluence artefacts.
• Contribute to regulatory change programmes, impact assessments and project governance.
• Mentor junior analysts and champion continuous improvement across the TTR function.

To thrive in this role, you should have:

• Strong experience as a Technical Analyst / Business Analyst within Investment Banking or Capital Markets.
• Deep knowledge of transaction reporting regulations (MiFID II, EMIR, SFTR).
• A solid understanding of financial products including Derivatives, Equities, Fixed Income and FX.
• Experience across the full trade lifecycle and trade data flows from Front Office to Operations and reporting systems.
• Advanced SQL and data analysis skills.
• Exceptional stakeholder management, communication and problem-solving abilities.
• Experience working in Agile environments and using tools like Jira and Confluence.

Nice-to-Have Experience:

• Familiarity with reporting platforms such as UnaVista, DTCC, or Regis-TR.
• Exposure to cloud data platforms or big data technologies.
• A degree in Finance, Computer Science, or a related discipline.
