Regulatory Finance Technology | Dublin | Contract
You'll join the Finance Technology team in Dublin, working across EMEA Regulatory Finance. The function looks after economic and regulatory capital, and the technology team behind it delivers both the strategic build and the day to day support for business users across Europe. You'll be working alongside teams in Dublin, Charlotte, New York and India.
This is a hands on Technical BA seat. Heavy on data, heavy on testing, and you'll need to be comfortable getting into the detail of both the regulatory requirement and the technology delivering it.
What you'll be doing
- Delivering Capital and Regulatory Reporting projects across COREP, FINREP, AnaCredit and statistical reporting
- Working as part of the team designing and implementing a new regulatory reporting platform, pulling together accounting knowledge, data analysis, small build changes and project management
- Analysing and documenting business and technical processes for data sourcing (transactional and reference), data normalisation, and regulatory and internal MI reporting
- Gathering requirements with business SMEs, development and testing teams, and writing the BRDs and functional specs that come out of it
- Working with test teams so the full complement of testing gets done, reviewing and approving test scenarios and cases built by QA, and supporting the business through UAT
- Acting as an advisor to developers through build and test phases
- Partnering with PMs to keep governance standards met across the portfolio, and independently assessing business cases and signing off
- Liaising across Finance, Middle Office, Operations and Treasury
What you’ll need
- Experience delivering mandatory regulatory implementations inside a Tier 1 investment bank
- Solid understanding of financial products and asset classes (debt, equity, commodities)
- Fundamental accounting and reconciliation knowledge, and a strong control mentality
- Strong data analysis. Comfortable interrogating large volumes of data through Excel and SQL (pivots, data comparisons and so on)
- Experience writing BRDs and reviewing technical documentation
- Experience creating test scenarios and running UAT, across both database and UI layers
- Working knowledge of visual BI or ETL tooling such as Alteryx or Informatica for building simple solutions
- In depth experience delivering in an Agile environment
- Excellent written and verbal communication. You'll be managing up and down the technology chain and dealing with business partners across multiple disciplines, priorities and time zones
