Responsibilities

• Collaborate with Education Campus team to capture business and user requirements.

• Conduct current-state assessments, identify bottlenecks and opportunities.
• Apply process mapping, gap analysis, root-cause analysis and SWOT.
• Ensure future designs comply with Irish/EU regulations and policy.
• Develop roadmaps and change plans, manage dependencies and disruption.
• Gather and document detailed requirements via workshops and stakeholders.
• Present findings and redesigned processes to senior stakeholders.
• Possess third-level qualification or equivalent; other qualifications may suffice.
• Experience in IT user needs estimation and planning for IT fit-outs.
• Strong understanding of enterprise networks, cloud and on-prem storage.
• Excellent technical writing, documentation and communication skills.
• Experience in requirements gathering for technical infrastructure projects.
• Certification in Business Analysis or Project Management is a plus.

Job description

Technical Analyst – Kildare - €500 Per Day

Irish Government Regulatory authority based in South Co. Kildare requires an Experienced Technical Analyst with experience of IT fit outs to assist on an upcoming developmental programme focused on the development of a new Education and Training facility.

The Technical Analyst should ideally have some experience in office fit-outs, projects and/or projects that involve the construction/refitting of buildings used for IT based training a as they will be required to collaborate with the Education Campus team in defining user requirements before translating them into clear equipment and infrastructure statements.

While this role is initially being offered on a short term (3 month) basis, the scale and scopes of works in the organisation’s development programme is such that there is scope for the contract to be extended well beyond the initial period being offered.

Responsibilities

• Collaborate with the Education Campus team in capturing business anduser requirements
• Translating business requirements into clear solution statements.
• Conduct current‑state assessments, examining workflows to calculate likely needs, bottlenecks, inefficiencies, and improvement opportunities
• Apply advanced analysis techniques including process mapping, gap analysis, root‑cause analysis, and SWOT assessments.
• Ensure all future‑state designs comply with relevant Irish/EU legislation, regulations, and policy requirements.
• Develop implementation strategies, roadmaps, and change plans, managing dependencies and minimizing operational disruption.
• Gather and document detailed business requirements through workshops and stakeholder engagement.
• Present findings, recommendations, and redesigned processes to senior stakeholders.
• Ideally a Third level Degree in a Business Discipline, Computer Science/IT or other area relevant to the role, but other qualifications and/or experience might also suffice
• Previous experience working on a technical fit out that involved an estimation of IT user needs, and planning on the basis of same
• Good understanding of Enterprise infrastructure including networks, cloud and on-prem storage
• Precise technical writing, documentation, and communication skills
• Demonstratable experience in requirements gathering for technical infrastructure projects
• While not essential, Certification in Business Analysis and/or [project management would be most welcome.
