The Role

Our client, a leading Irish organisation, is undertaking a significant greenfield technology and infrastructure project in Kildare. As part of the first phase of the project, a range of IT infrastructure, workplace technology and digital solutions are being planned and implemented across a new site. The project will support a diverse range of users, staff and third-party stakeholders. We are seeking an experienced Technical Business Analyst to join the project team on an initial 3-month contract. The successful candidate will work closely with project stakeholders and technical teams to understand business and technology requirements, assess potential solutions and translate these into clear, structured requirements and solution statements for a formal procurement and tender process.

Key Responsibilities

• Work closely with project stakeholders to gather, analyse and document IT and technology requirements.
• Assess requirements within a new greenfield environment and translate business needs into practical technical solutions.
• Develop clear solution statements, technical requirements and tender documentation.
• Support requirements definition across areas including:
  • Network and core infrastructure
  • End-user computing and devices
  • Servers and supporting infrastructure
  • Workplace technology
  • Meeting rooms and collaboration technology
  • Audio-visual and video conferencing solutions
  • Connectivity and associated technology services
• Liaise with infrastructure, network, workplace technology and other technical teams to validate proposed solutions.
• Identify dependencies, constraints, risks and potential gaps within proposed solutions.
• Ensure requirements are clearly documented and suitable for inclusion within procurement and tender documentation.
• Facilitate workshops and stakeholder discussions to capture, clarify and validate requirements.
• Work within a fast-paced project environment where requirements and documentation need to be developed within tight timelines.

Required Experience

• Proven experience working as a Technical Business Analyst / IT Business Analyst within infrastructure or technology-focused projects.
• Strong experience gathering, analysing and documenting technical requirements.
• Experience translating business requirements into technical solution statements and tender/procurement documentation.
• Good understanding of IT infrastructure, networking, end-user computing and workplace technology.
• Experience working with multiple technical and non-technical stakeholders.
• Strong communication, documentation and stakeholder management skills.
• Ability to work independently and quickly establish an understanding of a new technical environment.
• Strong analytical skills with the ability to understand complex technical requirements and communicate them clearly to both technical and non-technical audiences.

Desirable Experience

• Previous experience working on greenfield, commercial, infrastructure or technology deployment projects.
• Experience with new-site technology or IT infrastructure deployments.
• Exposure to workplace technology, AV, video conferencing or collaboration solutions.
• Experience supporting formal IT procurement or tender processes.
• Experience working within large-scale project or transformation environments.
