Job summary

Responsibilities

• Act as the senior technical lead and primary client contact.
• Provide regular KPI, SLA, compliance, and performance reporting.
• Build and maintain strong client relationships through transparent delivery.
• Lead multi-disciplinary engineering teams across multiple sites.
• Ensure statutory maintenance, PPM schedules, and regulatory compliance.
• Oversee audits, asset condition reviews, and lifecycle planning.
• Support mobilisation, asset validation, CAFM/CMMS integration.
• Manage budgets, forecasts and contract commercial performance.
• Support CapEx planning, tendering, contractor management, cost control.
• Ensure projects are delivered safely, on time, within budget.
• Drive KPI performance, continuous improvement, and innovation.
• Uphold HSEQ standards across the account.
• Provide leadership, mentoring and development for teams.

At Apleona, we are seeking an experienced Engineering Technical Account Director to lead a large, complex multi-site engineering contract across Ireland. This is a senior, client-facing role requiring a mechanically or electrically qualified professional with strong commercial acumen and proven experience managing engineering teams, compliance, and capital projects within an FM or engineering services environment.

The successful candidate will act as the technical authority for the account, ensuring high standards of service delivery, statutory compliance, project execution, and client satisfaction

Working Pattern Monday - Friday 08:00 - 17:00

Key Responsibilities

• Act as the senior technical lead and key point of contact for the client
• Provide regular client reporting on KPIs, SLAs, compliance, and performance
• Build and maintain strong client relationships through transparent communication and delivery excellence
• Lead and support multi-disciplinary engineering teams across multiple sites
• Ensure full compliance with statutory maintenance, PPM schedules, and regulatory requirements
• Oversee engineering audits, asset condition reviews, and lifecycle planning
• Support mobilisation, asset validation, CAFM / CMMS integration, and ongoing optimisation
• Oversee engineering projects and remedial works from scope through delivery
• Manage budgets, forecasts, and commercial performance of the contract
• Support CapEx planning, tendering, contractor management, and cost control
• Ensure projects are delivered safely, on time, and within budget
• Monitor and drive KPI performance, continuous improvement, and innovation
• Ensure HSEQ standards are met and embedded across the account
• Provide leadership, mentoring, and development for engineering and technical teams

Candidate Profile

• Mechanically or Electrically qualified (trade, diploma, or degree level)
• Strong background in engineering-led FM or technical services
• Experience managing large, multi-site engineering contracts
• Proven ability to lead engineering teams and manage compliance
• Strong commercial and financial awareness (budgets, forecasting, reporting)
• Confident communicator with senior clients and internal stakeholders

Desirable

• Experience working within regulated or public-sector environments
• CAFM / CMMS implementation or optimisation experience
• Project management experience
