Job summary

Apleona Ireland is seeking a Technical Manager to oversee all hard FM services in the Dublin area. You will manage PMM and reactive maintenance, supervise contractors, and ensure compliance with health and safety regulations while leading cost control and sustainability initiatives.

Ideal candidates bring 5+ years in regulated facilities environments, strong communication, and problem-solving skills, with proficient MS Office tools and H&S awareness.

Qualifications

• Minimum 5 years experience in a regulated facilities environment.
• Excellent PC skills including Word/Excel/PowerPoint and project management.
• Suitable experience in Health and Safety and environmental issues.
• Excellent communication skills.
• Excellent problem-solving skills.
• Good understanding of H&S and HR.

Responsibilities

• Oversee all hard FM services including HVAC, electrical, plumbing, fire safety systems, lifts and building fabric.
• Manage PMM and reactive maintenance programs.
• Ensure compliance with health & safety regulations and statutory requirements.
• Supervise and coordinate contractors, vendors and in-house engineering teams.
• Manage SLAs and KPIs.
• Conduct regular inspections, audits and risk assessments.
• Develop and manage maintenance budgets and control costs.
• Lead incident response for critical system failures or emergencies.
• Maintain asset registers, maintenance records and compliance documentation.
• Support sustainability initiatives, energy management and efficiency improvements.

Working pattern: Monday to Thursday from 08:00-16:30 and Friday 08:00-15:30

Main duties and responsibilities:

• Oversee all hard FM services including HVAC, electrical, plumbing, fire safety systems, lifts, and building fabric.
• Manage planned preventive maintenance (PPM) and reactive maintenance programs.
• Ensure compliance with health & safety regulations and statutory requirements.
• Supervise and coordinate contractors, vendors, and in-house engineering teams.
• Manage service level agreements (SLAs) and key performance indicators (KPIs).
• Conduct regular inspections, audits, and risk assessments.
• Develop and manage maintenance budgets and control costs.
• Lead incident response for critical system failures or emergencies.
• Maintain asset registers, maintenance records, and compliance documentation.
• Support sustainability initiatives, energy management, and efficiency improvements.
