Job summary

Apleona GmbH is seeking a Project Manager to lead multiple projects from inception to completion in Clonmel, Tipperary. You will oversee renovations, upgrades and cross-functional reviews to meet client standards and project timelines.

The role requires at least five years’ experience in a similar environment, with GMP or facilities management background, and proven M&E project management and people leadership capabilities.

Responsibilities

• Manage multiple projects from inception through completion.
• Support renovations and upgrades of existing facilities.
• Facilitate reviews and help resolve issues with cross-functional groups and external firms.
• Demonstrate superior performance in resolving critical issues within a matrix organization while maintaining timelines and costs.
• Review equipment/environments and ensure compliance and commissioning.
• Manage vendor relationships and understanding of standard practices in design and construction.
• Manage and ensure all drawings and project programmes are issued and up to date.
• Ensure projects are delivered on time, to budget, with required functionality.
• Formulate and manage budgets for contracts under their control.
• Promote and deliver company aims and establish quality measures with two-way communication.
• Manage cost control and reduce subcontractor costs.
• Develop and deliver SLAs for projects and subcontracts.
• Monitor service delivery against SLAs and administer reporting procedures.
• Ensure safe systems of work and compliance with statutory and company procedures.
• Suggest improvements in service delivery and client satisfaction.
• Source and utilise materials and subcontractors efficiently.

Job description

At Apleona, we are currently recruiting for a Project Manager to be based in Clonmel, Tipperary.

Working Pattern: Monday to Friday, 8am - 4:30pm

Main duties and responsibilities

• Manage multiple projects from inception through completion
• Support renovations, and upgrades of existing facilities
• Facilitate reviews and help resolve issues with cross-functional groups and external firms
• Demonstrate superior performance in resolving critical issues within matrix organization while maintaining adherence to project timelines and costs
• Review the equipment/environments, including switch gear, generators, UPS, chillers, cooling towers, air handling units, controls, security monitoring systems, fire safety systems to ensure compliance with statutory and client requirements and ensure all equipment is commissioned and handed over correctly
• Managing vendor relationships and understanding of standard practices in the design and construction industry
• Manage and ensure all drawings and associated project programmes are issued and up to date.
• Ensure all projects are delivered on time, to budget, meet the client standards and have required functionality
• Formulation & management of budgets for all contracts under their control
• Promote and deliver the aims of the Company
• Establish and manage quality measures and procedures in conjunction with the Company to enable two-way communication, ensuring feedback and continuous improvement is achieved
• Manage cost control and review costs with the objective of reducing subcontractor costs
• Develop and deliver SLA's for each project and sub contractor contract under their control
• Measure and monitor the effectiveness of the service delivery against agreed Service Level Agreements.
• Administer formal management and reporting procedures
• Ensure safe systems of work are in place for all operations and ensure compliance with all statutory and company procedures
• Suggest and implement improvements and innovations in service delivery, and ensure client satisfaction.
• Effective sourcing and utilisation of materials and subcontractors.
• Monitor the quality of work carried out through random audits and ongoing review of breakdowns.
• Ensure standard of work is maintained and all site logs and documentation are kept up to date.
• The timely and accurate production of all client reporting requirements

Qualifications and experience

• A minimum of five years’ experience working in a similar role
• GMP regulated environment or Facilities Management experience
• Managing projects in a regulated environment preferred
• M&E Project Management Experience
• Man management experience
• Third level engineering qualification or equivalent
• Excellent customer service skills and Customer focus management style
• Must possess a dynamic approach to achieving continuous improvement
• Must be self-motivated and able to motivate others
