Job summary

FBD Insurance in Ireland seeks an experienced underwriting professional to lead a team, driving profitability and supporting professional development. The role emphasizes delivering high standards in underwriting, stakeholder collaboration, and outcomes aligned with company objectives.

You will champion FBD values, manage performance, and build productive relationships with internal and external stakeholders to sustain growth and service quality across the business.

Responsibilities

• Provide technical referral support to the team and identified stakeholders.
• Develop and implement service level agreements to ensure excellent service.

• Implement and report underwriting strategies and objectives to stakeholders.
• Ensure compliance with relevant regulatory requirements.
• Support, design and deliver projects aligned with scope, timelines and standards.

Job Responsibilities

• Provide Technical referral support to the team and identified stakeholders
• Develop and implement overall service level agreements to ensure excellent service is provided
• Ensure that business is underwritten to the required standards
• Use analytical and problem solving skills to organize and analyse data, to inform business / function decisions.
• Implement, administer and report to relevant stakeholders on Underwriting strategies and objectives.
• Ensure all relevant regulatory requirements are met
• Support, Design and/or deliver assigned projects in-line with project scope, timelines and standards.

Education

• Experience and knowledge of the Agricultural Sector – External changes and Understanding of key stakeholder groups

Experiences

• Minimum 5 year’s experience in Insurance Underwriting
• Track record of taking ownership of own development
