Job summary

Hewlett Packard Enterprise Operations’ Research and Development Centre in Galway offers a Systems/Software Engineer internship. You’ll join a Scrum team and work on a range of technologies from Java and C++ to React.js, with hands-on experience in AI-enabled cloud tools.

The role is hybrid, based in Galway, with about two days per week in the office. Starting 11 January 2027 for ~8 months, you will be mentored by senior engineers and gain exposure to the full development lifecycle, DevOps

Job Description

HPE Operations’ Research and Development Centre in Galway is one of the largest centres of software engineering in the West of Ireland. As a system/software engineer, you will work on a specific project critical to HPE Services Digital Experience with opportunities to gain experience across a broad range of modern technologies. You will be enthusiastic and versatile and take on new problems across the full stack. You will communicate effectively and be motivated to achieve results as part of an Agile team.

Start Date: 11. January 2027 (~ 8 month) Location: Galway, Ireland

Mandatory Requirements

Enrolled in a University during the internship and eligibility to work in Ireland in full-time during the internship. You will be customer focused and be given the time to learn in depth about software development practices, latest tools for software development and frontend technology, as well as our Continuous Delivery Pipeline. Senior engineers will mentor you on your way. You will be part of a Scrum team that regularly delivers well tested releases and responds to the needs of customers.
