Job summary

Leinster Appointments Ltd in Maynooth, Co. Kildare, is seeking a Systems Accountant on a two-year fixed-term contract. The role blends finance, systems and process improvement, with hybrid work and one day per week onsite.

You will develop and improve finance systems, automate processes, support upgrades, and provide robust reporting. The successful candidate will work closely with finance and wider business teams.

Qualifications

• Qualified accountant or equivalent finance/systems experience.
• Strong understanding of accounting processes, financial reporting and controls.
• Experience working with ERP or accounting systems.
• Involvement in finance transformation, systems implementation or process improvement.
• Strong Excel and data analysis skills.
• Experience with Power BI or similar reporting tools expected.
• Strong analytical and problem-solving abilities.
• Comfortable working with both finance and technical stakeholders.

Responsibilities

• Support the development and improvement of finance systems and processes.
• Identify opportunities to automate and streamline existing finance activities.
• Collaborate with finance users to understand requirements and develop practical system solutions.
• Support system upgrades, implementations and ongoing enhancements.
• Improve financial reporting, data quality and management information.
• Assist with reporting, budgeting, forecasting, month-end and year-end processes.
• Maintain and improve financial controls, workflows and system documentation.
• Support testing, implementation and user training for system changes.
• Work with internal teams and external providers to resolve system and reporting issues.
• Develop reports and dashboards to support business decision-making.
