Job summary

Portumna Pastry in Ireland invites applications for a Sustainability & Project Specialist who will report to the Managing Director and drive sustainability goals, including EU and global certification. Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree or higher in project management, engineering, environmental sustainability, business management, or a related field.
• At least 3 years of experience in a similar role within manufacturing, with a track record of project and sustainability management.
• Proven expertise in negotiating costs with suppliers and ensuring projects meet timelines and budgets.
• Must hold the legal right to live and work in Ireland.
• Must have excellent English language skills.

• Sustainability Leadership: Spearhead sustainability initiatives that align with company objectives, focusing on environmental impact reduction and certification ( EcoVadis, Origin Green).
• Collaborate with cross-functional teams to embed sustainable practices into daily operations.
• Manage Energy Monitoring System and produce weekly report on utilities, conduct analysis on energy usage for SEUs on site.
• Seek out opportunities to reduce electricity, LPG and water consumption.
• Identify and implement process improvements to enhance productivity, reduce waste, and energy costs.
