Job summary

Barróg Healthcare is seeking a Residential Support Worker to deliver person-centred care for individuals with disabilities in a residential setting in Cork. You will work with the circle of support to promote independence and community inclusion.

Applicants must have QQI Level 5 in Health or Social Care, a valid driving license, and be 25 or older for insurance purposes. On-site roles with 12-hour shifts and opportunities for career progression are available.

Qualifications

• Must have full, unrestricted Right to Work in Ireland (Stamp 4, EU/EEA/UK Passport). No visa sponsorship.
• Valid Full Driving License.
• Minimum QQI Level 5 in Health or Social Care (or equivalent).

Residential Support Worker

Purpose of Role:

Barróg Healthcare is a leading private health and social care provider delivering nationwide residential and day services across mental health, disability, and social care. We are looking for a Support Worker to deliver person-centred, holistic care to individuals with physical and intellectual disabilities or autism in a residential setting—working alongside their circle of support to build independence, community inclusion, and equal citizenship.

Critical Requirements:

• Right to Work: You MUST already hold full, unrestricted Right to Work in Ireland (Stamp 4, EU/EEA/UK Passport). No visa sponsorship is available.
• Driver’s License: Valid Full Driving License required.
• Support Worker: Minimum QQI Level 5 in Health or Social Care (or equivalent)
• Age Requirement: Must be 25 or older for insurance purposes.

• Job Type: Full-time & Part-timeavailable
• Shifts & Hours: 12-hour shifts (8:00 AM–8:00 PM and 8:00 PM–8:00 AM). Hours agreed upon offer; flexibility for 24/7 cover required.
• Probation & Vetting: 6 months probation. Subject to reference checks, Garda Vetting, and international security clearance (if resident abroad for >6 months post-age 16).
