OBW Technologies is seeking an experienced and commercially driven Head of Supply Chain Transformation to lead the next stage of development across our end-to-end supply chain function.
This newly created senior leadership role offers a unique opportunity to transform a critical business function within a fast-growing Irish technology business. Reporting to the Financial Controller, you will lead the evolution from a primarily operational purchasing model to a strategic, data-driven and scalable supply chain function supporting domestic and international growth.

The Opportunity
As Head of Supply Chain Transformation, you will design and deliver a modern, scalable supply chain operation that strengthens supplier performance, improves inventory visibility, enhances governance and supports exceptional customer delivery. This is a highly visible role combining strategic leadership with practical execution. You will work closely with Finance, Operations, Engineering, Projects and Commercial teams to build the processes, systems, controls and team capability needed to support OBW’s next phase of growth.
Key Responsibilities
Lead Supply Chain Transformation
- Develop and implement a practical transformation roadmap for the supply chain function.
- Design scalable processes, controls and operating models to support future growth.
- Identify opportunities for automation, digitisation and continuous improvement.
- Establish clear KPIs, dashboards and governance frameworks to improve visibility and decision‑making.
- Lead strategic sourcing, supplier relationship management and contract negotiation.
- Improve supplier performance, reliability, commercial terms and risk management practices.
- Deliver cost efficiencies while maintaining quality, service and compliance standards.
- Build strong partnerships with key manufacturers, suppliers and internal stakeholders.
Optimise Inventory, Warehousing & Logistics
- Improve inventory accuracy, visibility and control across the business.
- Optimise stock levels, reduce excess inventory and support working capital performance.
- Enhance warehousing, stores and stock management processes.
- Develop logistics capability, including freight, customs, import/export and Incoterms where relevant.
Build Planning, Systems & Operational Excellence
- Introduce robust planning, forecasting and supply chain performance management processes.
- Improve use of ERP and business systems to support better reporting and analysis.
- Develop standard ways of working, policies and procedures that support consistency, compliance and audit readiness.
- Drive continuous improvement across procurement, inventory and supply chain operations.
Lead & Develop the Team
- Lead, coach and develop a high-performing Supply Chain team.
- Build team capability, role clarity and succession plans to support long-term growth.
- Foster a culture of accountability, collaboration, continuous improvement and professional development.
- Act as a key contributor to the wider leadership team.
In this role, you will be expected to deliver measurable improvements across supply chain performance, including:
- A future‑state supply chain operating model aligned to OBW’s growth plans.
- Improved procurement governance, supplier performance and commercial control.
- Enhanced inventory accuracy, stock visibility and working capital management.

- Standardised processes, policies and ways of working across procurement, inventory and supplier management.

About You
We are looking for a strategic and commercially minded leader who combines deep supply chain expertise with the ability to deliver transformation in a growing, fast‑paced business.
- Degree in Supply Chain, Procurement, Logistics, Engineering, Business or a related discipline, or equivalent professional experience.
- Significant experience in senior supply chain, procurement or logistics leadership roles.
- Proven track record of leading transformation, change and process improvement initiatives.
- Strong experience in strategic sourcing, supplier management and contract negotiation.
- Experience improving procurement governance, inventory management and supplier performance.
- Strong commercial, financial, analytical and stakeholder management skills.
- Experience implementing or optimising ERP, planning or reporting systems.
- Demonstrated success leading, developing and building capability within teams.
- Professional qualifications such as MCIPS, CPIM or CSCP.
- Lean, Six Sigma or other continuous improvement certifications.
- Experience within industrial, engineering, technical distribution or project‑based environments.
- International supply chain experience, including freight, customs, import/export, Incoterms or trade compliance.
