Zusammenfassung

Arcadis in Ireland is offering a paid Summer Internship for an Electrical Engineer to gain hands-on experience across design, construction support and project delivery in pharmaceutical, life sciences and industrial sectors. You’ll work in a multidisciplinary E&I team, assisting with electrical power distribution, drawings, cable sizing, and commissioning activities while learning from experienced engineers and mentors.

Accepted degrees: Electrical Engineering or related discipline.

Qualifikationen

• You will be working towards a degree in a relevant subject.
• You will demonstrate typical Arcadian skills including Resilience, Creativity, Analytical Thinking and being a Team Player
• You will have excellent communication skills and the ability to use your technical knowledge to influence and consult stakeholders.
• You will travel and stay away from home when required (where possible we embrace virtual working)

Aufgaben

• Support the design of electrical power distribution systems and building services.
• Assist in producing electrical drawings, schematics, and single‑line diagrams.
• Contribute to electrical design calculations, including cable sizing, voltage drop, lighting studies, and load assessments.
• Gain experience in short‑circuit, protection coordination, and arc flash studies.
• Support the development of utility service matrices and engineering databases.
• Assist with preparing technical specifications, reports, and project documentation.
• Take part in site surveys, inspections, testing, and commissioning activities.
• Work closely with process, mechanical, HVAC, architectural, construction, and validation teams.
• Learn and apply industry standards, engineering principles, and best practices.
