Job summary

Arcadis in Ireland invites applications for a paid intern Instrumentation and Control Engineer placement. You will gain hands-on experience supporting design, implementation and maintenance of pharmaceutical manufacturing systems.

Working under senior engineers in the Engineer & Design sector, you will help ensure safe, compliant operations, contribute to GMP and FDA considerations, and develop practical engineering skills through real projects and client interactions.

Qualifications

• You will be working toward a degree in a relevant subject.
• Demonstrate Arcadian skills including resilience, creativity, analytical thinking and being a team player.
• Excellent communication skills and the ability to influence and consult stakeholders.
• Willing to travel and stay away from home when required (virtual working embraced where possible).

Responsibilities

• Support the design, implementation and maintenance of systems that monitor and control manufacturing processes in pharma and life sciences facilities.
• Work under guidance to help ensure safe, efficient, and compliant operations and contribute to delivering high‑quality healthcare products.
• Engage with the Engineer & Design sector, taking projects from Front End Design through Detail Design to handover to clients while ensuring GMP/FDA compliance and process optimization.
