Job summary

Jobgether is partnering to hire a Structural & Architectural Design Engineer based in Ireland for a major AI data center infrastructure project. You’ll work across building envelope, internal layouts, load-bearing systems and life safety, ensuring resilient, secure, and scalable designs.

Collaboration with MEP teams and stakeholders is essential to integrate architecture and structure with demanding performance criteria.

Qualifications

• 5+ years in structural and/or architectural design for complex facilities
• Experience designing load-intensive facilities including raised floors and heavy equipment
• Direct data center or industrial experience is valuable
• Proficiency with AutoCAD and/or Revit
• Experience with structural calculation packages (Tekla, Robot, IDEA, RFEM)
• Ability to coordinate multi-discipline designs (structural, architectural, MEP)
• Strong understanding of structural design principles and space planning
• Good communication and collaboration skills for international teams
• English proficiency for technical coordination and documentation
• Familiarity with local building codes and permitting processes
• Experience with high-density, liquid-cooled IT environments desirable
• Polish language skills are a plus
• Experience with POD-based data center concepts desirable

Responsibilities

• Design building envelope systems for critical data center environments
• Develop internal partitioning and space-planning including security zones and access layouts
• Perform structural load calculations for raised floors and rooftop equipment
• Calculate floor-loading capacity for high-density liquid-cooled racks
• Design cables, piping pathways, and infrastructure tunnels
• Develop lighting concepts for white/gray spaces and offices in line with operations
• Coordinate architectural and structural drawings with MEP teams
• Review design-build packages for risks and optimization opportunities
• Ensure compliance with local building codes and fire-safety regulations
• Coordinate permitting matters with authorities and stakeholders
• Support long-term space planning as infrastructure evolves
