Job summary
Amazon Development Centre Ireland Limited in Dublin is seeking a Senior Architect to shape the design strategy for Europe's data centre expansion. You will define masterplans, building typologies and navigate planning and permitting across EMEA, collaborating with cross‑functional teams to align with global standards.

Qualifications
- Must hold a Professional Engineering or Architectural license.
- Experience reading, interpreting, and creating construction drawings, specifications, and submittal documents.
- Knowledge of building codes and regulations for the region (Ireland/Europe).
- Experience navigating planning/permitting processes in European jurisdictions.
- Experience leading multi‑discipline coordination on data centre or similar projects.
Responsibilities
- Define and drive long‑term infrastructure strategy for data centre deployments across EMEA.
- Lead technical evaluations of market opportunities including site feasibility and regulatory considerations.
- Serve as strategic interface between regional delivery teams and cross‑functional stakeholders.
- Provide senior technical counsel on capital investment decisions and infrastructure roadmap prioritisation.
- Identify and mitigate risks in early‑stage programs using architectural judgement.
- Influence global design standards with regional lessons learned.
- Collaborate with Planning/Permitting teams to improve permitting frameworks across regions.
