Job summary

Jobgether, on behalf of a partner company, is seeking an MEP Design Engineer based in Ireland to contribute to a major AI data center project. You will design and review electrical distribution, cooling, ventilation, fire protection, and BMS/ OT-IT integration for critical infrastructure.

You will collaborate with IT and engineering partners, review documentation, participate in tender processes, and help develop the Basis of Design while ensuring regulatory compliance and energy efficiency

Qualifications

• 5+ years of professional experience in MEP design for critical infrastructure or heavy-industry facilities.

Responsibilities

• Develop and review electrical distribution systems, including MV/LV, UPS, gensets, and BESS.
• Design and review cooling and ventilation systems (chillers, dry coolers, water towers).
• Coordinate modular facility architecture and ensure integration with MEP infrastructure.
• Develop gas fire suppression, ventilation, and OT/IT integration systems (BMS/DCIM).
• Review technical documentation from suppliers/partners, identify risks and gaps.
• Ensure MEP solutions meet regulatory, safety, reliability, and energy-efficiency requirements.
• Prepare and update the Basis of Design and technical specs.
• Participate in tender processes and evaluate proposals for critical equipment.
• Coordinate with IT teams to align power/cooling with deployment needs.
• Support project lifecycle coordination and resolve design challenges.
