Job summary

Sterling Engineering Ltd - Ireland & Europe in Galway, Ireland, seeks a Programme Manager to coordinate cross-functional initiatives. The role reports to the Chief Operating Officer and focuses on providing structure, visibility and accountability across multiple business programmes.

Qualifications

• 2–5 years' experience in project management, programme management, PMO, business operations, consulting or a similar role.
• Excellent organisational and time-management skills.
• Ability to manage multiple projects and priorities simultaneously.
• Strong communication and stakeholder management skills.
• Comfortable working with senior stakeholders and following up on actions and deadlines.
• Strong attention to detail and a proactive approach to problem solving.
• Strong Excel skills and confidence using project management and collaboration tools.
• Degree in business, engineering, science or a related discipline, or equivalent experience.

Responsibilities

• Maintain visibility of key projects and initiatives across the business.
• Develop and maintain project and programme plans, including milestones, owners and timelines.
• Coordinate regular project and management reviews.
• Track actions and follow up with stakeholders to ensure agreed deliverables are completed.
• Identify potential delays, risks and issues and escape where appropriate.
• Support business planning and priority-setting activities.
• Maintain project reporting, dashboards and key performance metrics.
• Prepare clear and concise updates for senior management.
• Coordinate activity across multiple departments and stakeholders.
• Take ownership of individual projects and workstreams as required.
• Support the ongoing development of programme and project management processes.
