Sterling Engineering Ltd - Ireland & Europe is seeking an Engineering Manager to lead and develop the engineering team while driving performance and delivery of objectives aligned with business goals.

You will coordinate cross-functional teams, champion continuous improvement, and ensure quality and safety standards. The role offers growth in a growing engineering environment across Ireland and Europe. Occasional travel may be required.

Qualifications

  • Degree in Engineering (Polymer or Mechanical preferred).
  • 5+ years in engineering leadership.
  • Proven people management and stakeholder engagement.
  • Strong technical, analytical and problem-solving skills.
  • Leadership and team development.
  • Excellent communication and collaboration.

Responsibilities

  • Lead, coach, and develop a high-performing engineering team.
  • Manage engineering priorities, resources and project delivery.
  • Drive continuous improvement focusing on efficiency and process optimisation.
  • Support preventative maintenance and operational excellence.
  • Collaborate with Operations, Quality and other departments.
  • Drive problem-solving, root cause analysis and corrective actions via the QMS.
  • Monitor KPIs, budgets, and departmental performance.
  • Support audits both internal and external.
