Job summary

Gallagher Ireland, part of the Arthur J. Gallagher Group, is seeking a Commercial Account Executive to grow a client portfolio and provide tailored insurance and risk management solutions.

You will join a global organisation with a long history, delivering exceptional service, building trusted client relationships, negotiating favorable terms with insurers, and managing renewals while ensuring compliance with regulatory requirements.

Qualifications

• Experience in an Account Executive role within a brokerage or insurance environment.
• Certified Insurance Practitioner (CIP) qualification, with progress towards an MDI qualification.
• Extensive knowledge of the commercial insurance market, products, and services.
• Strong understanding of client markets and an established insurance industry network.

Responsibilities

• Build and manage client relationships, growing your portfolio and providing tailored insurance and risk management solutions.
• Negotiate with insurers to secure the best coverage and terms that meet client needs.
• Manage your workload to ensure timely and effective service delivery.
• Maintain up-to-date client information and sales plans.
• Develop a robust sales pipeline to meet sales targets.
• Proactively identify commercial opportunities and partnerships.
• Collaborate with other Gallagher teams, fostering strong working relationships.
• Handle renewals, including obtaining client information, preparing submissions, and issuing renewal terms and policy documents.
• Ensure compliance with regulatory requirements, including maintaining CPD hours and adhering to relevant codes and legislation.
• Provide expert advice to clients on policy wordings, conditions, and exclusions.
