Job summary

Howden Ireland is seeking an Account Executive to join the Commercial team, based in our Wexford or Carlow office. You will manage policy renewals, retain clients, and identify new business opportunities to expand the client base.

You'll need 3–5 years in commercial insurance, strong relationship management, and excellent negotiation skills to optimise client portfolios and drive business growth.

Qualifications

• Minimum 3–5 years' experience in a commercial insurance role.
• APA Commercial or Grandfathered Commercial with proof of up‑to‑date CPD.
• Excellent technical product knowledge of Commercial insurance.
• Proven track record managing a client portfolio including renewals.
• Strong negotiation skills to achieve favorable outcomes.
• Ability to build and maintain strong client relationships.

Responsibilities

• Maintain and strengthen relationships with existing clients to foster loyalty.
• Oversee renewal process for commercial policies, review terms and negotiate renewals.
• Evaluate clients' risk profiles and advise on suitable insurance products.
• Provide excellent service by addressing inquiries and resolving issues.
• Achieve New Business/Renewal targets.
• Ensure compliance and office procedures are followed.
