Job summary

Howden Ireland is seeking a Business Development Executive for our Small Enterprise Commercial book, reporting to the Head of Sales. The role supports lead conversion, submissions, and premium documentation while coordinating with regional offices to bind new risks.

A strong commercial sense and insurance knowledge are essential. You will work in a hybrid Dublin setting, maintain strict compliance, and help deliver an excellent customer experience.

Qualifications

• Proven experience in business development, sales, or account acquisition within insurance or professional services.
• Strong commercial acumen with ability to identify growth opportunities.
• Excellent communication, negotiation and presentation skills.
• Self-motivated with ability to manage a pipeline independently.

Responsibilities

• Use available platforms to follow up and convert leads from digital channels and referrals.
• Assist sales with submissions, proposals and new business opportunities.
• Support debiting premiums and ensure timely documents.
• Collaborate with regional offices to bind new risks efficiently.
• Maintain CRM with accurate leads, opportunities and interactions.
