Job summary

Briggs Equipment is seeking an Asset Sales Manager to lead the commercial sale of ex-hire assets across Laois Hire and Aerial Platform Hire. You will drive optimal channel mix, manage pricing decisions, and build relationships with buyers and brokers across Ireland.

You will coordinate asset preparation with depot teams, monitor performance, and report on asset recovery values. This field-based role offers a competitive package including commission and a company vehicle.

Qualifications

• Experience selling plant, powered access equipment, machinery or hire assets.
• Strong commercial awareness with ability to negotiate and protect margins.
• Knowledge of retail/trade/auction sales channels.
• Proficient IT skills including asset management software and MS Office.
• Experience collaborating with finance/operations/workshop teams.
• Excellent organisation and communication skills.
• Full UK/Irish Driving Licence.

Responsibilities

• Manage the sale of ex-hire assets across Laois Hire and Aerial Platform Hire.
• Maximise returns by selling assets through retail, trade or auction channels.
• Identify and progress disposal opportunities aligned with fleet strategies.
• Conduct market research and asset valuations to support pricing.
• Coordinate asset preparation with depot and workshop teams.
• Build relationships with buyers, brokers and auction partners.
• Maintain sales records, valuations and disposal documentation.
• Ensure all sales comply with company policies and approvals.
• Monitor and report on sales performance and asset recovery values.
• Drive commercial decisions to improve fleet quality and ROI.
• Negotiate purchasing, trade-in and renewal opportunities.
