Job summary

Laois Hire, part of The Briggs Equipment Group, is seeking a Business Development Manager to drive plant and vehicle hire sales across Leinster. You will identify new leads, visit customers, and nurture relationships with decision-makers while coordinating with internal teams to tailor offerings.

A strong focus on growth and retention underpins this role. The ideal candidate will have proven field sales experience in related sectors, a full clean driving licence, and a willingness to travel

Qualifications

• Field sales experience ideally within plant and tool hire, material handling, logistics, warehousing, or construction.
• Local market knowledge preferred but not essential.
• Full, clean driving licence with willingness to travel.

Responsibilities

• Advancing the sales of plant and vehicle hire services in the relevant geographical territory.
• Identifying possible new leads for sales, establishing and maintaining relationships with potential clients.
• Conducting business development calls, arranging customer visits, and following up with marketing.
• Generating new business opportunities and developing new accounts to maximise sales.
• Maintaining and growing existing key accounts and ensuring customer retention.
