Job summary

Suir Engineering is seeking a Storeman in Leixlip, Co. Kildare to manage receipt, storage and distribution of piping materials on site.

You will check deliveries, label and store items, maintain accurate records and ensure materials are available to support site operations. Ideal candidates will have stores/warehousing experience, strong organisation and attention to detail, and be proficient with scanning and online record systems.

Qualifications

  • Previous experience in stores, warehousing or materials management is preferred.
  • Good understanding of piping fittings, part numbers, sizes and material identification.
  • Strong organisational skills and excellent attention to detail.
  • Experience checking deliveries against delivery dockets and identifying discrepancies.
  • Comfortable using computers, scanning documentation and uploading information to online systems.
  • Ability to maintain accurate records and manage materials efficiently.
  • Good communication skills and ability to work as part of a team.

Responsibilities

  • Receiving deliveries of piping materials, fittings and associated equipment and checking quantities against delivery dockets.
  • Sorting and organising fittings and materials according to part numbers, sizes, specifications and material types.
  • Checking deliveries for shortages, damages or discrepancies and reporting any issues to the relevant personnel.
  • Marking off delivery dockets upon receipt of goods, ensuring all documentation is accurate and complete.
  • Scanning delivery dockets and uploading documentation to an online system for record keeping and material tracking.
  • Ensuring materials are correctly labelled, stored safely and easily located when required.
  • Maintaining accurate records of materials received, stored and issued.
  • Monitoring stock levels and communicating material shortages or requirements to the relevant site personnel.
  • Keeping storage areas clean, tidy and organised in accordance with site requirements.
  • Working closely with site management, supervisors and tradespeople to ensure materials are available when needed.
  • Adhering to all company and site-specific welfare, health and safety requirements and regulations.

The overall role of the Storeman is to manage the receipt, storage, organisation and distribution of piping materials, fittings and associated equipment on site, ensuring all materials are accurately checked, properly identified and readily available to support site operations.

What you will be doing

Is the job for me
  • Previous experience in a stores, warehousing or materials management role would be an advantage, preferably within the construction, mechanical or piping industry.
