Job summary

Suir Engineering in Leixlip, Co. Kildare, Ireland, is seeking High Purity Fitters & Pipe Fitters for a permanent, full-time role on a semiconductor project. On-site position with competitive salary and benefits. Opportunity to work on international projects across Europe.

Ideal candidates will be qualified mechanics with experience in high/low purity piping, stainless steel, PVC/CPVC, and reading P&IDs/isometrics, with strong safety and teamwork mindset.

Qualifications

  • Qualified Mechanical Fitter, Pipefitter, Plumber or equivalent recognised mechanical trade qualification.
  • Experience installing high purity and low purity process piping systems.
  • Experience working with stainless steel, PVC and CPVC pipework.
  • Ability to read and interpret P&IDs, isometric drawings and mechanical layout drawings.
  • Experience working within cleanroom, semiconductor or pharmaceutical environments is desirable.
  • Strong commitment to Health, Safety, Quality and contamination control standards.
  • Ability to work independently and as part of a high-performing team.
  • Good communication skills with a positive, flexible attitude and willingness to learn.

Responsibilities

  • Install and fabricate high purity and low purity process pipework within semiconductor manufacturing facilities.
  • Measure, cut, bend and install stainless steel tubing and pipework.
  • Install PVC, CPVC and associated mechanical piping systems in accordance with project specifications.
  • Prepare stainless steel tubing for orbital welding, including facing, alignment and fit-up.
  • Read and interpret P&IDs, isometric drawings and mechanical layout drawings.
  • Install pipe supports, brackets, valves and associated mechanical equipment.
  • Work within cleanroom environments while maintaining contamination control and housekeeping standards.
  • Comply with Intel site procedures, permit-to-work systems, and all Health, Safety and Quality requirements.
  • Work closely with supervisors, welders, QA/QC personnel and other trades to deliver installations safely and efficiently.
  • Carry out any other duties as reasonably requested by your Line Manager.

We have exciting opportunities for a number of High Purity Fitters & Pipe Fitters to join Suir Engineering Ltd. These positions will be for a semi-conductor project based in Leixlip Co. Kildare.

What you will be doing?
