Job summary

Excel Recruitment is currently recruiting a Store Manager for our client’s busy convenience store in Co. Tipperary. You will lead a dedicated team to deliver excellent customer service, drive sales and profitability, and ensure smooth day-to-day operations across all departments.

The role requires strong leadership, retail sector experience, and the ability to manage performance, stock, and compliance with HACCP and safety standards in a busy store environment. Weekend work may be required.

Qualifications

• Experience as Store Manager or Assistant Store Manager in supermarket or convenience retail.
• Strong leadership and team development skills.
• Proven ability to drive sales, margins, and store profitability.
• Excellent organisational and communication skills.
• Willing to work weekends when required.

Responsibilities

• Oversee day-to-day running of the convenience store.
• Lead, motivate, and develop the store team to meet targets.
• Monitor sales, margins, labour costs, stock and waste.
• Manage stock ordering, merchandising, and store presentation.
• Recruitment, rostering, training, and performance management.
• Ensure compliance with HACCP, health & safety, cash handling and security.
