Job summary

Excel Recruitment is currently recruiting a Store Manager for our client’s busy convenience store in Co. Tipperary. You will lead a dedicated team to deliver excellent customer service, drive sales and profitability, and ensure smooth day-to-day operations across all departments.

The role requires strong leadership, retail sector experience, and the ability to manage performance, stock, and compliance with HACCP and safety standards in a busy store environment. Weekend work may be required.

Qualifications

• Experience as Store Manager or Assistant Store Manager in supermarket or convenience retail.
• Strong leadership and team development skills.
• Proven ability to drive sales, margins, and store profitability.
• Excellent organisational and communication skills.
• Willing to work weekends when required.

Store Manager – Convenience Store - Co. Tipperary

Excel Recruitment is currently recruiting a Store Manager for our client’s busy convenience store in Co. Tipperary. This is an excellent opportunity for an experienced and commercially driven retail professional to take full responsibility for a successful store, leading a dedicated team while driving sales, profitability, and excellent customer service standards.

Responsibilities:

• Oversee the day-to-day running of the convenience store, ensuring smooth and efficient operations across all departments
• Lead, motivate, and develop the store team to deliver exceptional customer service and achieve operational and sales targets
• Monitor store performance, including sales, margins, labour costs, stock control, and waste management to maximise profitability
• Manage stock ordering, merchandising, product availability, and store presentation to maintain excellent retail standards
• Oversee staff recruitment, rostering, training, and performance management while creating a positive and productive working environment
• Ensure full compliance with company procedures, HACCP, food safety, health & safety, cash handling, and security regulations

Requirements:

• Previous experience as a Store Manager or experienced Assistant Store Manager within a supermarket, convenience store, forecourt, or grocery retail environment
• Strong leadership skills with a proven ability to manage, motivate, and develop a busy retail team
• Excellent commercial awareness with experience managing sales performance, margins, labour costs, stock control, and store profitability
• Strong organisational, communication, and problem-solving skills with the ability to manage competing priorities effectively
• Customer-focused with a hands‑on management approach and a commitment to maintaining high operational and service standards
• Flexible and results‑driven with the ability to work effectively in a fast‑paced retail environment, including weekends when required
