You’ll lead high‑impact projects: latency optimization, scalable ingestion, and API design for Tempo as a platform enabler, while collaborating asynchronously with a global team.

Qualifications

• Proven leadership of multi‑quarter initiatives in design, delivery and operations.
• Hands‑on experience building distributed data systems in production.
• Strong software craftsmanship with maintainable, performant code.

Responsibilities

• Make Grafana Cloud Traces work smoothly for customers.
• Improve Tempo's scalability and performance in production.
• Lead API and data‑plane evolution for Tempo as a platform.
• Drive end‑to‑end ownership including incident response and SLOs.
